The objective of the assignment is as follows:

Increase Awareness on Infection Control, Institutional Delivery, and Safe Delivery:

The primary goal is to raise awareness among the population about infection control practices, the importance of institutional delivery, and safe delivery methods. This objective aligns with the target of reducing the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Share Package Activities:

The assignment aims to share the activities carried out under the package related to infection control, institutional delivery, and safe delivery. These activities could include awareness campaigns, training programs, community engagement initiatives, and other relevant interventions.

Gather Opinions and Suggestions from Workshop Participants:

Workshops have been organized at the upazila level, and the assignment seeks to gather the opinions and suggestions of the participants who attended these workshops. Their valuable input will contribute to refining and improving the strategies and approaches employed in the assignment.

Organized Inception Meeting

An inception meeting was held with the officials of LHE&P on 22nd May 2021 for the following purposes:

  1. To share the creative concept and draft IEC materials
  2. To share the script of TVC
  3. To share the field implementation plan

Objective of Awareness Raising Workshop

  • To share the objective of the campaign package
  • To make people aware on infection control, institutional delivery and safe delivery to reduce MMR
  • To share the campaign materials developed under the package

A two days long training for the Workshop Organizers were held on 10-11 June 2021 to orient them on hold the workshops in selected 40 upazilas. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Saiful Islam, Line Director, LHE&P and other officials of LHE&P were present.

Inaugural Session:

The workshop begins with an inaugural session.

Welcome Address and Objective Sharing:

The facilitator or host delivers a welcome address and shares the objectives of the workshop.

Speech by Chief Guest:

A chief guest delivers a speech, providing insights or perspectives related to the workshop theme.

Opening Remarks by Chairperson:

The chairperson of the workshop provides opening remarks, setting the tone for the discussions and activities.

Projection of TVCs:

Two TV commercials (10 minutes and 30 seconds in duration) related to the campaign are projected to capture participants’ attention and convey key messages effectively.

Presentation of Key Messages:

A presentation using PowerPoint slides is given, highlighting the key messages of the campaign.

Open Discussion:

Participants engage in an open discussion, sharing their thoughts, experiences, and questions related to the campaign and its objectives.

Gathering Comments and Suggestions:

Using the VIPP (Visualization, Ideas, Prioritization, and Plans) method, participants’ comments and suggestions are gathered, allowing for a structured and inclusive approach to feedback collection.

Closing Remarks by Chairperson:

The chairperson concludes the workshop by delivering closing remarks, summarizing the discussions, and expressing gratitude to the participants.
